Empowering the Youth of South Africa with Purpose
to be Christ-centered Leaders
South Africa is a nation still healing from the scars of Apartheid, but its children are the hope for a better future. Inspiring the next generation with a sense of purpose and empowering them to lead can help them overcome the overwhelming odds against them.
PLAY camp is breaking down barriers of cultural differences, economic disparities, and misinformation that leads to mistrust and resentment and replacing them – one changed heart at a time – with love.
Knowing God has a plan for your life and wants a personal relationship with you is a crucial source of strength and hope and instills courage to lead.
Learning new attitudes and decision-making skills allows you to influence those around you, to use peer pressure as a force for good, and to develop character to stand up for what is right.
Pushing your personal limits builds self confidence – you must believe in yourself first to lead others.
Campers are 11-13 years old. This is a critical age to reach children as they are forming identity, choosing role models, and building relationships.
Using adventure based learning, leadership skill development, and an underlying Christian foundation, PLAY camps inspire and equip children to choose a positive direction for their lives. PLAY camps provide a rare opportunity for children of the townships and children of the cities to come together to foster unity, develop respect, and to grow in the truth that each child is loved, awesome, unique, and valuable.
